LibreOffice 3.6.0 telah dirilis pada 8 Agustus 2012 lalu, LibreOffice versi terbaru ini membawa banyak fitur baru dan tampilan yang berbeda, perubahan, dan perbaikan bug. Untuk melihat fitur lengkapnya silahkan kunjungi halaman ini.
Pada tutorial sederhana ini saya akan menunjukkan cara menginstal LibreOffice 3.6.0 di Ubuntu 12.04.
Pertama Anda download dulu paket .deb dari link di bawah ini:
Untuk sistem 32-bit:

Untuk sistem 64-bit

Setelah selesai mendownload, ekstrak paket sehingga Anda akan menemukan daftar file .deb di hasil ekstraknya. Untuk menginstalnya buka terminal (ctrl + alt + T) dan jalankan perintah berikut untuk menghapus versi lama LibreOffice yang terinstal di komputer.
sudo apt-get purge libreoffice-core
Kemudian instal semua paket .deb dari hasil ekstrak tadi. Saya sarankan untuk melakukannya di terminal, arahkan ke folder ekstraksi dan instal semua paket .deb dengan satu perintah:
cd ~/Downloads/LibO*
sudo dpkg -i namafile.deb
Setelah selesai maka Anda akan menemui LibreOffice dalam versi terbaru di komputer Anda.
